BLOCK OF THE QUARTER
Join us in our Block of the Quarter program or enjoy the block patterns for your own use. Complete a block and bring it to the designated monthly guild meeting and your name will be entered into a raffle to win blocks made by members. The number of winners will be based on the number of blocks submitted divided into groups. For quarter #2, we will be making a very fun and easy block for all of you "CAT LOVERS". If you want to embroider the name of your favorite cat on the block please do! I know most quilters have at one time or another had a favorite cat.
The pattern can be found at: MSQC Tutorials Pins and Paws quilt
STRIPS AND SQUARES
This is one of our fun and great idea projects we do throughout the year. You do not have to sign up or do it every month, it is totally up to you if you want to participate. All of the fabrics exchanged this year will be BATIKS. No need to wash before cutting and exchanging. Please share your favorite way to use strips and squares with us, and we will bring in some examples. You will get a copy of our pattern ideas with the strips and squares. Plan to exchange six 2 1/2" width of fabric strips, and sixteen 6"squares. You will get the same number returned.
Please contact Danielle Keenen at email@example.com if you have any questions.
The concept of being and having a Secret Pal is fairly simple. Participants draw names and each month you will bring a gift for your Secret Pal. We ask that you keep the value of your gifts at $15 or $20. Your gift can be anything you choose ... guilt related, non-quilt related, comical, serious or anything you like as long as it's new. Part of the fun is trying not to let the recipient know who you are, but sometimes even a clever secret pal can have a hard time coming up with gift items. In July all the Secret Pals will be revealed, and per tradition, you may have a small "thank you" gift to give your Secret Pat when the name is revealed.
If you would like to be apart of this activity, please
contact Debra Frazier at firstname.lastname@example.org
This year's Challenge is "The Shape of Things to Come". All participants will receive a template of a geometric shape, which is to be pieced or appliqued onto your finished entry. You must use the shape you receive, however you may alter its size as desired. You may use it once or repeatedly in your entry, but it must be readily recognizable. There are no limits regarding size or fabric choices. Please pin your template to your finished entry, which is due at the November meeting. Most of all, have fun and embrace the Challenge!

Currently, all workshops will be held at the Stetson Hills Police Station at 4110 Tutt Blvd. the Saturday following our regular meeting. The station is north of Jo-Ann Fabrics and south of Costco on the west side of the street. The room is quite large, has good lightening, lots of tables and chairs that we can configure however we want, and we have use of the mini kitchen. We are required to clean up after our get-togethers but we do not have to move the chairs or tables. We do need to pick up all scraps, pins, threads and trash around our workstations, as well as clean up the kitchen.
